Heritage Vidhyalaya is a CBSE affiliated co-educational school imparting quality education from nursery to grade 9 following CBSE prescribed NCERT syllabus with CCE protocol. English, Tamil, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social studies and Environmental Science are the main subjects taught. Studies in Computer, Arts & Science, General Knowledge, Work Education, Life Skills & Physical Education are also compulsory.
There are two terms in each academic year for all the classes, the first term is from April to September followed by the second term from October-March of the next year. Each term has two formative and one summative assessment, given in Grades. The grading for the scholastic areas is given in a nine point scale. The overall grade of formative assessments over the two terms (FA1+FA2+FA3+FA4) and the overall grade of the summative assessment (SA1+SA2) are taken into account. The Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is arrived at by including/excluding 6th subject as per scheme of CBSE.
Co-scholastic areas comprise Life skills, Work Education, Visual and Performing Arts, Attitudes and Values where students are assessed in a five point grading scale.
